…in richer or in poorer…til death do us part. You hear this almost everytime you attend a wedding. Of course, I must admit, I dreamt of saying this to “The One” during my own wedding someday (Sana! Bwehehe). Being a part-timer with the 3rd party (the best coordinators in town! Applause! Applause! Free plugging! Hehe), Amy and I were finishing up missalettes and souvenirs for a wedding the next day. Basil (of course, my cute pamangkin) was also helping out (nakikigulo :P). He asked what we were doing.
Basil: Whatchadoin, Ninang?
Me: These are for a wedding.
[I was surprised to his next question (he even knows what ‘getting married’ means)]:
Basil: Who’s gonna get married?
Me: Hmm, somebody but you don’t know them, Bas. (Then, out of the blue, I asked) Do you want Ninang (that’s me!) to get married?
Basil: NO. (serious, very serious)
Me (I was shocked!): Why?
Basil: Eh kasi wala na ko ninang.
*Awww, I felt a pang of mixed emotions! I was REALLY touched but at the same time, perplexed…(Oh no! Malakas magdasal ang bata!) :P

Laking National (a.k.a. MUKHANG National)
Yesterday, I went to meet up my groupmates in one of my MA subjects since we’re due to report next week (oh yes! On a holiday! Arrgh!). After our meeting, I felt very hungry that made me crave to eat out. While I was already thinking of the menu, I texted my friend to ask where she was. She replied but to no avail. I texted another friend but to no avail again. And texted another…and another…and another… The bottom line? Nobody can meet me! (waah!!!) My friends…where art thou?!
Instead of having a sumptuous dinner (imagine…imagine…), I drove to National Bookstore Quezon Avenue (cut price book sale!) and went home with a bag of books. :)

Nothing could be sweeter than this…

On a late QC Day holiday morning, my 5-year old nephew, Basil, went in my room and greeted me:
Basil: Hi ninang! Good morning!
Ninang: Hi basil! (kissed him on the head)
Basil: Whatchadoin?
Ninang: nag-internet
Basil: Nagbreakfast na ikaw?
Ninang: Hindi pa po. Ikaw, nagbreakfast na?
Basil: Yup! Brownies!.....
Basil then zoomed out of the room to realize that he’s already missing his TV show.
Note: Basil has a “brusko” personality (may mood swings pa yan!). I’m so touched whenever he greets me in the morning, all the more, when he asked me if I had breakfast already. It definitely made my day. :)))
